Sew Studio Southborough is a small business that needed to make a big impact. Enter: Newly branded assets.
Lucy Dots is the brainchild of two sewing teachers out of Southborough, Massachusetts. Everything about the brand is playful, down to the name (taken from the imaginary friend of one of the women’s daughters).
Knowing that this brand had to exist within another brand–Sew Studio Southborough, where the two women are based–Lucy Dots was created to have minimal branding that could fit well within the existing collateral. The branding itself focuses on their flagship item: Swedish Tomte gnomes created from upcycled wool knit sweaters.
The stitch of a wool knit was abstracted and created into its own unique mark resembling a heart. Along with the logo mark, typography, colors, and patterns were defined and used to create modern collateral with a sentimental touch.
